Zailey Unidad Flores | Madison County Jail
REXBURG — An Arizona woman found in a stolen car reportedly said she wanted the attention of law enforcement because the world is coming to an end.
Zailey Unidad Flores, 20, is charged with felony grand theft of a car and misdemeanor petit theft. According to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by, Flores told Madison County Sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday that she stole a 2015 Kia to get the attention of authorities.
Deputies were called around 9 p.m. about the stolen car that was stuck in a field at the end of a dirt road on South 4000 West near the Burton area. Investigators found Flores in the vehicle, which had been reported stolen out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
“She made several comments about the world coming to an end and that she needed to tell as many people as possible,” a deputy wrote in the probable cause.
An Idaho dealer license plate was attached to the car and Flores allegedly said she stole that too but could not say where she got it.
