The following is a news release and mugshot from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.
An intoxicated man was arrested Saturday night after being involved in a crash on Lorna Ave.
Just before 5 p.m., dispatch received calls about a possible intoxicated driver on Ammon Road that ultimately led to where the vehicle crashed on Lorna Ave., a residential street. Deputies arrived and identified the driver as 41-year-old Jose Espinoza-Guadalupe who was discovered to have multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Deputies observed signs of alcohol use and after breath testing, Espinoza showed an alcohol level of more than 1.5 times the legal limit. Deputies also located drug paraphernalia and approximately 12 grams of marijuana on his person.
No injuries were reported in the crash and after a medical clearance, Espinoza was transported to the Bonneville County Jail. He was booked on the outstanding misdemeanor warrants for probation violations, along with misdemeanor charges for excessive driving under the influence, driving without privileges, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
