IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police report two separate crashes along Hitt Road in front of the Grand Teton Mall entrance, which are backing up traffic.
The first crash happened around 2 p.m. in the southbound lanes and involved multiple vehicles. Police Department spokeswoman Jessica Clements says as officers were making sure everyone was okay and investigating the crash, a second collision happened nearby.
Traffic is moving slowly and at least one of the lanes is blocked. Police are asking you to avoid the area for the next couple of hours, as of 2:30 p.m.
The cause of the crashes has not yet been determined.
