Reports of shots fired at Boise mall; people asked to avoid area

BOISE (Idaho Statesman) — Boise Police Department said in a tweet shortly before 2:15 p.m. Monday that officers were responding to reports of shots fired at the mall on Milwaukee Street. Paramedics have removed at least one person from the building on a gurney, according to Idaho Statesman staff at the scene. The individual was taken from the Macy’s store.

Police have asked people to stay away from the area, where streets were blocked off Monday afternoon. The Boise Towne Square mall is located at 350 N. Milwaukee St.
