The Devil’s Delight at Sweet Temptations. | Andrea Olson and Jordan Wood, EastIdahoNews.com
BLACKFOOT — It’s a Feeding Frenzy at the Eastern Idaho State Fair, and EastIdahoNews.com is here to taste it all!
Over the next week, we’ll be showcasing local vendors serving up delicious food at the fairgrounds.
Today, we are stopping by Sweet Temptations. Jolene Secrist, the original owner, let us try a new treat this year.
It’s called “The Devil’s Delight.”
“This is a homemade chocolate treat underneath with fresh peaches and strawberries. We have a little cream cheese filling on it. Then you get soft serve ice cream, candied pecans, with a little sprinkle of crispy pebbles,” she said.
It won “Best New Sweet” at the fair this year.
They’ve also got amazing cinnamon rolls, toffee tumblers and peach tumblers.
“You just better come try one of everything!” Secrist said.
Check it out in the video above.
The Eastern Idaho State Fair runs through Sept. 7. A map of all the food vendors is available here.
