The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift $500,000 this holiday season! Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and wants to help as many people as he can.
We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.
Tomas Lizarraga, his wife and four kids were in a serious accident on Aug 17. They were hit head-on and Tomas was pinned in the van. Tomas and his 15-year-old both had their hips broken and were admitted to the hospital. The rest of the family received minor injuries.
Tomas has had two surgeries and was on bed rest for months. He went back to work part-time at the end of October but is not able to work much as he is a mechanic and can not do much. Their van was totaled and they have had to borrow a vehicle to get around to doctor appointments and other places.
They were able to purchase a replacement vehicle a few weeks ago but it’s been a hard year and Secret Santa wanted to help. He asked the East Idaho News team to surprise the Lizarraga family with a unique trip to the grocery store – along with some extra gifts. Watch the video above to see what happened!
