Black Knoll Fire fully contained after growing to 433 acres

ST. ANTHONY – Firefighters worked through the night to contain the Black Knoll Fire burning about 10 miles southwest of Ashton, and north of St. Anthony.
Eastern Idaho Interagency Fire Center spokeswoman Edith Raya tells EastIdahoNews.com the 433-acre fire was fully contained as of 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The fire started a little before 5 p.m. Monday. Firefighters haven’t determined a cause, but no homes or buildings were threatened and no one was injured.
The fire continues to burn in grass, sage, and juniper within the containment lines. It is expected to burn itself out.
Multiple agencies battled the blaze, including the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service, South Fremont Fire District and North Fremont Fire District. Crews have been using ground and air resources to put it out.
