Kadar Gregory Criddle | Madison County Jail REXBURG — Another east Idaho man has been arrested for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography. This time, it’s Kadar Gregory Criddle, 24, from Rexburg. He is charged with four counts of felony knowingly distributing child sexually exploitative material. For those keeping score, this is the 42nd child pornography case in eastern Idaho that EastIdahoNews.com has covered since Jan. 1, 2024. According to court documents, a Madison County Sheriff’s detective received a cyber tip on Dec. 4 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, stating that an IP address in the Rexburg area had uploaded and distributed multiple files of child pornography to the messaging platform, Kik. The videos and images depicted children between the ages of nine and 14 years old engaging in sexual situations. Detectives were able to identify the user as Criddle. Also on the account, investigators reportedly found conversations between Criddle and another user in August 2024, when Criddle was living in Rexburg. The conversations discussed them looking “for children between the ages of 13-15.” Criddle reportedly responded to the message by providing a video of child pornography and saying, “She is 14.” On Feb. 6, deputies served a warrant at Criddle’s home, where he had recently moved to in Jefferson County. He was then transported to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, where he reportedly admitted to having multiple Kik accounts that “kept getting shut down.” He also allegedly admitted to distributing and possessing child pornography and told detectives he had “chatted with children online and had received multiple images and videos from them.” He reportedly told detectives that he had last accessed his Kik account on Feb. 5 and that both his cell phone and his Kik account would have child pornography of “girls between the ages of 15 and 17 years old.” Criddle was arrested and booked into the Madison County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is expected to appear for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 19. Criddle could face up to 120 years in prison if convicted. Though Criddle has been charged with these crimes, this does not necessarily mean he committed them. Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The post 24-year-old Rexburg man arrested after allegedly admitting to distributing child pornography online appeared first on East Idaho News.
