There’s been videos shared online of people sledding — using mattresses, boogie boards and laundry baskets — and even footage of a snowman that was made on the sands of an Alabama beach. Not something you see everyday, that’s for sure. One video that recently went viral was of members of the Houston Police and Fire departments having a snowball fight. “This doesn’t happen very often,” the City of Houston said in reference to the video they shared on their X account. “Some of our @HoustonFire and @houstonpolice first responders are enjoying the snow between calls.” The video of the policemen and firefighters making the most of the wintery weather was recorded Jan. 21, 2025. It shows over a dozen first responders outside throwing snowballs while laughing, smiling and at the end, shaking hands with each other. “Glad to see our fearless first responders having a great time! This snowfall brings out the little kid in all of us!” one comment on the video reads. Another said, “Good to see our hardworking men and women taking a chance to play and have fun!
