The incident happened just before 5:40 p.m. in the area of 8000 East and Idaho Highway 33, which is just east of Teton. Madison County Dispatch received 911 calls regarding a two-vehicle accident with injuries, according to a news release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. RELATED | Fatal crash on Highway 33 in Madison County Deputies responded and found a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2011 Toyota Tundra. Both had extensive damage, the release said. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Madison Health for his injuries. It’s unclear what condition he is in. The driver and the passenger of the Toyota died on the scene. Their names have not yet been released. Next of kin have been notified, according to the sheriff’s office. A two-mile portion of the road was briefly closed Wednesday evening, and deputies had to reroute traffic. The crash remains under investigation.
