Coming off a state championship in the spring, the Sugar-Salem baseball team had more to celebrate last week when Dawson McInelly and Will Chappell signed letters of intent to play in college. McInelly signed with Utah Tech and Chappell signed with Brigham Young University. Both were first-team All-State selections, McInelly as an infielder and Chappell as an outfielder. Chappell hit .387 with three home runs and 29 RBIs last season, while McInelly hit .361 with four homers and 22 RBIs. McInelly also pitched in eight games and was 3-1 with 1.81 earned run average.
