BLACKFOOT — A 31-year-old man is in the ICU after he was hit by a vehicle over the weekend in Bingham County.
According to the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened Saturday around 10 p.m. north of Blackfoot on Rose Road.
Several people reported the man attempted to jump in front of their vehicles just before a teenage driver hit him, officials said.
The pedestrian was transported by the Blackfoot Fire Department to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. At last check, the sheriff’s office reports the man is in stable condition in the ICU. His name is not being released.
There are no charges at this time.
It is believed the pedestrian was under the influence of alcohol, the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office reports.
