The company opened a 1,600-square-foot location at 711 Rigby Lake Drive, Suite 102 in 2022. Construction on a new 5,200-square-foot building will get underway at the other end of the parking lot later this month, pending the city’s approval of permits for the project. It’s slated for completion in March 2026. Dillon Wray owns the Rigby location. He tells EastIdahoNews.com that they’ve outgrown the current space and are looking forward to having more room to interact with patients. “When we get really busy, we’re shoulder-to-shoulder over there,” Wray says. “It’s good for the social interaction, but it’s too chaotic.” The new building will include new equipment and amenities. Wray specializes in vestibular therapy, which focuses on improving balance and coordination to reduce dizziness, vertigo, and other neurological conditions. He’ll be adding some new equipment for that. He’ll also be adding parallel bars and a new cable harness system for people with balance issues. The harness system will keep patients attached in place as they perform more challenging tasks. The clinic specializes in postpartum therapy and pelvic floor rehabilitation. A separate floor will be dedicated to these services in the new building. Pick PT Physical Therapy provides an array of services, including orthopedic and spinal rehabilitation, chronic pain recovery, back and neck pain therapy, car accident and sports injury therapy, along with post-surgical rehabilitation. Wray knew he wanted to be a physical therapist when he was 15 years old. He’s always enjoyed exercise, but it was his sister’s boyfriend, who worked as a personal trainer, that introduced him to this profession. The plaza where the Rigby location sits was under development when he was in college and he dreamed of having a clinic there one day. “The opportunity came up to lease that space,” Wray says. “We’ve since spoken with the owner of the plaza and were able to purchase ground (for our new building). That dream I had when I was younger is coming to fruition.” After years in the industry, Wray says it’s the interaction with patients that brings him the most satisfaction. “I spend three to five hours a week with these patients sometimes,” he says. “Over weeks at a time, we build relationships. They open up to me, I open up to them. It’s amazing. When I see them outside of the clinic, I feel like we’re friends.” Wray is grateful for the clientele he’s built up over the years. He wants the same association and interaction to continue in the new building. He’s excited for the ways it will allow him and his team to provide better care for clients. “I grew up in Rigby, so it’s been fun to open a practice here, knowing people that I’ve known for years. To get that support to come back to us (and) build this building to accommodate more growth … is what I’m most excited about,” Wray says. Pick PT Physical Therapy has two other locations in Idaho Falls, as well as a location in Ammon and Rexburg. The post New physical therapy clinic under construction in Rigby appeared first on East Idaho News.
