Sugar-Salem’s Kamryn Teichert was named 4A Player of the Year. | Courtesy photo. State champions Pocatello and Sugar-Salem were well represented on the All-State girls soccer team. Pocatello coach Mark Wetstein was named 5A Coach of the Year after leading the Thunder to the 5A state title. Pocatello also landed three players on the first team in Aryanna Gonzalez, Kellie Christensen and Alivia Marshall. Hillcrest midfielder Brinley Nelson was also selected to the first team. Sugar-Salem, celebrating a second straight state title, took top honors in 4A with Scott Terry earning Coach of the Year and Kamryn Teichert tabbed Player of the Year. Four Diggers were named to the first team – Andee Petterson, Isabelle Tuttle, Ava Rydalch, and keeper Nika Nead. American Falls forwards Aliana Cruces and Jelly Oseguera were tabbed first team.
