REXBURG — BYU-Idaho Center Stage is pleased to announce Mat & Savanna Shaw, the Utah father-daughter singing duo that sprang to overnight fame in 2020, will perform at BYU-Idaho on Friday, March 14, in the Hart Auditorium. Mat & Savanna Shaw last performed at BYU-Idaho in November 2022. They are the first ever father-daughter duo to boast a No. 1 charting album on Billboard (American Songwriter). Kelly Clarkson called them “incredibly gifted,” Good Morning America said, “this father-daughter duo’s music is bringing hope,” and The New York Times said they “harmonize into billowy bliss.” RELATED | Beloved music teacher who lost her husband gets surprise from Mat and Savanna Shaw Savanna, in her first-ever social media post, shared a video of her singing “The Prayer” with her dad. Originally meant to go no further than friends and family, the video has now been viewed more than 100 million times on various social media platforms. After their video went viral, Mat & Savanna got to work creating and releasing their debut album titled “Picture This.” It debuted at #1 on iTunes pop charts, #1 on Billboard’s classical albums, and #54 on the all-genre Billboard 200. They have since released an additional 7 albums, all landing in the top 10 across multiple iTunes and Amazon Charts and hitting #1 on Billboard charts worldwide. Mat & Savanna are now performing throughout the world and have shared the stage with many artists including Jim Brickman, The Piano Guys, and Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons.
