The following is a news release from Idaho State Police. NAMPA — Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash on Tuesday at 9:53 p.m. on US 20-26 at Franklin Road, in Canyon County. A 2017 Kia Sportage, driven by a 37-year-old male from Meridian, was northbound on Franklin Road. A 2014 Ford F150, driven by a 21-year-old female from Templeton, California, was westbound on US 20-26. The Kia failed to yield at the stop sign, northbound on Franklin Rd at US 20-26 colliding with the Ford. The driver of the Kia was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver of the Ford was wearing a seatbelt and was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. The roadway was closed for approximately three hours. ISP was assisted by Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and Canyon County Fire & EMS.
