Robert Lange | Bonneville County Jail IDAHO FALLS — An Idaho Falls man with a pending murder charge is back in jail after allegedly drinking alcohol against his pre-trial release rules. Robert Lange is charged with the second-degree murder of 50-year-old Alejandro Paredes-Hurtado, after he was reportedly beaten and left to die on the sidewalk on Oct. 19. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on a $150,000 bond, which he paid and was released to pre-trial services on Oct. 23. According to court records, during mandatory drug and alcohol tests on April 22, May 22 and June 5, Lange tested presumptive positive for ethyl glucuronide and and ethyl sulfate, which, according to the National Institute of Health, occur in the liver after drinking alcohol. He’s accused of beating man on Northgate Mile Court documents say Lange failed to appear for testing on April 13 and was given a final warning about his urine analysis test results during an in-person meeting on May 2. He also failed to appear for testing on May 11. Due to this violation, his pre-trial services release was revoked and he was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on Monday, and is being held without bond. Lange is scheduled to appear for a hearing about the violations on June 17. He also has a jury trial scheduled on July 21.
