REXBURG — A Madison County Jury found a Rexburg man not guilty of sex crimes following a three-day trial.
Prosecutors accused 53-year-old Jose Romulo Tarrillo of one count of child sex abuse for soliciting a child under the age of sixteen years to participate in a sexual act and one count of lewd conduct with a child, according to court documents.

The state alleged Tarrillo abused a 14-year-old girl over five months between 2017 and 2018. Jurors deliberated for hours and found Tarrillo not guilty of the alleged crimes.
With the acquittal, Tarrillo’s bond was exonerated.
