Luke William Hughes | Bonneville County Jail IONA — An Iona man was charged with allegedly having child pornography after a cybertip led police to arrest him near his home. Luke William Hughes, 38, was charged with felony transportation of child porn and felony possession of child porn. According to court documents, Hughes emailed images of child porn to himself on at least three different occasions. The emails contained a total of six photos. Inc. submitted a cybertip regarding user Luke Hughes to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. On March 18, the cybertip was provided to an agent with Homeland Security for investigation. Court documents state Hughes admitted to being the owner of the email account but stated that the email hadn’t worked in a while. Hughes denied distributing or receiving child pornography using the email account. According to information provided to law enforcement, Hughes is a registered sex offender in Idaho.
