Jordan Wood, EastIdahoNews.com IDAHO FALLS – The EastIdahoNews.com team is highlighting different jobs in our area, and today, we’re Workin’ It at the Idaho Falls Fire Department. I got to take a peek at what it takes to be an emergency medical technician and paramedic, and it’s no easy job. When fire department responders are on duty, they eat, sleep, and live at the fire station and are on call for 48 hours at a time. They routinely put out fires, respond to medical emergencies, and even deliver the occasional baby. I watched a CPR training, and Deputy Chief Jon Perry taught me how to do CPR and walked me through an ambulance. Check out the video player above to learn about the Idaho Falls Fire Department first responders.
