Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever!
The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many people as he can.
We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.
Michaela is a single mother with two children – Cory, age 7, and Kade, age 5. Michaela grew up in Teton Valley and is known by many. She is 26 and works at a local coffee hut in the middle of Victor six days a week (if not seven) to provide for her family. She is so upbeat, happy, always smiling, an amazing mother, sister, daughter and friend to everyone that is fortunate enough to know her.
She has had a lot of personal difficulties this year and those who know her say they admire her strength and her children’s resilience for all they have been through.
Michaela vehicle has nearly 250,000 miles on it. She has had to alternate between borrowing her stepmother’s car to her grandpa’s truck for several months. She travels an hour and a half to Idaho Falls to get supplies for the coffee hut, as well as groceries for her family. With winter right around the corner, many are worried about the condition of her current vehicle.
Secret Santa was impressed by Michaela’s work ethic and asked the East Idaho News elves to surprise her while she was working. Watch the video above to see the special visit!
