Set for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch, the home opener will be followed by an Opening Day fireworks show. The Chukars bring an impressive 5-1 record home with them, following a successful trip to Boise where they outscored the home town Hawks (1-5) 51 to 23. Idaho Falls was led offensively by first baseman Trevor Rogers, who homered twice and drive in six runs during the six-game set in Boise. As a team, the Chukars are batting .332 — second-highest team average in the league (Rocky Mountain Vibes, .391) Chukars starting pitchers have allowed a combined 14 earned runs across 30-1/3 innings pitched (4.15 ERA), while striking out 33 batters. The Chukars’ six-game home set against the Billings Mustangs (2-4) will run through Sunday, and include several special events.
