After a run to the College Football Playoffs last season, Boise State’s game at Notre Dame will be on network TV. | Idaho Statesman. BOISE (Idaho Statesman) — Two of last season’s best college football teams will face off in a Saturday afternoon game this fall that has been set for a prime time slot. Boise State and Notre Dame’s game on Oct. 4 has been scheduled to air on NBC and will start at 1:30 p.m. Mountain time in South Bend, Indiana. The matchup was originally behind a paywall on the streaming network Peacock, which would require a subscription to watch. Notre Dame has a media rights deal with NBC that features at least one of the Fighting Irish’s home games exclusively on Peacock each year. But the country won’t need it to see a week six showdown that is one of Boise State’s biggest nonconference games in program history. Both teams are fresh off an appearance in the College Football Playoff. The Broncos got a bye into the quarterfinal round before falling in the Fiesta Bowl to Penn State, while Notre Dame made it all the way to the national championship game before losing 34-23 to Ohio State. The two teams are among the winningest programs in college football history. Boise State ranks first, winning 76.8% of its games, while Notre Dame is fifth, at 72.5%. This fall will mark the first time the Broncos and Fighting Irish have faced off.
